Bridge Replacement Project Begins on Route 14 in South Creek Township, Bradford County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a bridge replacement project begins this week on the bridge that carries Route 14 over a tributary to South Creek in South Creek Township, Bradford County. The bridge is located approximately 0.6 mile northeast of the intersection with Ayres Road (T-807) and approximately 2.3 miles south of the intersection with Roaring Run Road.

Starting on Thursday, August 1, 2024, the contractor, Dean Construction, LLC., will begin preparation work for the bridge replacement project. Work includes clearing, grubbing, and select tree removal. Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions where work is being performed. Work will be performed Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, weather permitting.

Motorist should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel and drive with caution through the work zone.​

Dean Construction, LLC is the prime contractor for is $1.3 million bridge replacement project. Work on this project includes construction of a temporary roadway, removal of the existing bridge, installation of a precast reinforced concrete box culver, milling, resurfacing, line painting, guide rail upgrades, and tree planting. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in November of 2024.
