Girlfriend Arrested After Shooting Boyfriend with Pellet Gun

At approximately 7:30 AM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Officers from the Rancho Cordova Police Department and Sacramento County Sheriff's East Division Patrol Deputies responded to a residence on Charbono Way in Rancho Cordova regarding a male who had been shot in the stomach. Officers and Deputies provided first-aid on scene and the victim, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital. The victim's girlfriend, later identified as 35-year-old Ashley Walsh, was detained at the scene.

Detectives from the Rancho Cordova Police Department and Sheriff's Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene and learned that Walsh shot the victim with a pellet rifle in the stomach, causing significant injury. Walsh was placed under arrest and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail. She is being held on $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on October 17.
