Police Officers, Firefighters Rescue Critically Injured Male Following Collision in West Seattle

Seattle police officers and firefighters rescued a critically injured male following an injury collision in West Seattle last week.

On August 18th at 12:05 a.m., patrol officers and firefighters responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision into a telephone pole in the 4500 block of West Marginal Way Southwest.

When they arrived, they located a critically wounded male that had been ejected from the vehicle. Tourniquets were applied to both of his legs, one of which had been severed in the crash.

The driver was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition with life-threatening injuries. The circumstances leading up to the collision are unknown.

The roadway was blocked during the recovery and rescue. The vehicle was damaged beyond repair and towed from the scene. Patrol officers completed a Police Traffic Collision Report regarding this incident.
