Mega hydro hub helps China regulate world's most sediment-heavy river

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the commencement of the main construction of the Xiaolangdi Water Control Project. It is the second-largest water conservancy project in China and has made significant progress in managing the world's most sediment-heavy river, the Yellow River. The mega hydro hub has ensured 24 consecutive years of flood-safe seasons. Now, engineers there are using cutting-edge technology to forecast flood peaks to help protect the lives and property of millions downstream.
