On October 7, 2024, troopers from SP Horseheads responded to a domestic dispute on Moss Hill Road in Horseheads.

An investigation revealed that Dean Campbell, age 32, of Horseheads, NY, allegedly menaced the victim with a hammer and KA-BAR knife while acting erratically at the residence. Dean left the scene and was later located on South Avenue in the village of Horseheads, where he was taken into custody.

Dean was transported to SP Horseheads for processing. He was charged with Menacing 2nd (A Misdemeanor) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (A Misdemeanor). Dean was arraigned in the Town of Big Flats Court and was released. Dean is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Horseheads Court on October 8, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.
