Argentina - Lithuania: Meeting of Political Consultations

The V Meeting of Political Consultations with the Republic of Lithuania was held today at the San Martín Palace, led by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Ambassador Leopoldo Sahores, and the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Egidijus Meilunas.

During the meeting, the delegations reviewed the political, bilateral and multilateral agenda; they exchanged proposals for action within the framework of the current agreements and talked about cooperation projects in order to deepen ties between both countries.

Deputy Foreign Minister Sahores highlighted the excellent bonds of friendship that unite Argentina with Lithuania and pointed out the valuable contribution of the Lithuanian community residing in our country, one of the most important in the American continent.

Finally, both delegations exchanged views regarding the main issues on the international agenda - with particular emphasis on the situation in Ukraine - and highlighted the coincidences in values and positions.
