EL PASO, TEXAS -On 10/31/2024 at approximately 2116 hours, deputies assigned to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Northwest Patrol Station were dispatched to Loop 375 west, mile marker 20 (Transmountain Road) involving a single vehicle accident. The vehicle was identified as a 2019 Jeep Cherokee which caused approximately 400-500 feet of damage to the center cable barrier system. Due to the impact, the vehicle veered off on to the right lane where it remained until deputies arrived. Assistance from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) was requested due to the extensive damages and the debris on the roadway. Deputies along with the El Paso Police Department officers proceeded to close the outside lane and reduced traffic to one lane of travel. The vehicle and the debris were removed from the roadway. Both lanes of travel were opened for traffic on 11/01/2024 at 0034 hours. No injuries reported.
