Election season is not over yet - Fort Worth's street sweepers want your vote, too.
More than 500 people participated in the Name the Street Sweepers contest, resulting in more than 1,300 names submitted.
"The excitement around our Name the Street Sweepers Contest has been contagious," said Cody Whittenburg, environmental services director. "Our community is to be commended for its creativity while embracing our new street sweepers and everything they represent - a testament to our ongoing commitment to create and maintain a safe, clean city."
City staff has reviewed all the submissions and narrowed the name list to 50 finalists. Now, your votes are needed to select the winners. The 12 names with the most votes will be displayed on the side of one of the new street sweepers. This is a free contest open to all Fort Worth residents and helps to promote a litter-free community.
Pick your favorite names and cast your vote by Friday, Nov. 15.
