The New Yorker Festival celebrated its twenty-fifth year by bringing together a dynamic lineup of artists, actors, writers, politicians, and thinkers for a weekend of engaging conversations and performances in New York City.
Highlights included a candid discussion between politician Liz Cheney and Editor-in-Chief of The New Yorker, David Remnick, where Cheney expressed her support for Kamala Harris (covered by The New York Timesand The Hollywood Reporter), and actor Dax Shepard's take on his wife Kristen Bell on-screen chemistry with Adam Brody in a chat with The New Yorker's Senior Editor Tyler Foggatt (featured in People). Comedian Seth Meyers debuted his new stand-up special, while comedians John Mulaney and Simon Rich gave audiences a sneak peek of their upcoming Broadway show, All In. Performances by musicians Sara Bareilles and The National, and live recordings of the New Yorker podcasts "The Political Scene" and "Critics at Large" offered behind-the-scenes insights.
The festival also thrived on social media, amplifying its reach. Attendees like The National, Bridget Everett, John Mulaney, and Alan Cumming shared moments from their events on Instagram Stories, while four backstage interviews with Rachel Maddow, Bridget Everett and Amy Sedaris, Seth Meyers, and Alan Cumming garnered over 180,000 views on TikTok and Instagram.
