Hazardous Materials Incident Notification: 3500 Deer Creek Road

At 2:36 p.m. the Palo Alto Fire Department was dispatched to 3500 Deer Creek Road (Tesla) to a hazardous material incident with a report of a suspicious odor and fire or reaction inside a drum on site. Initial determination from PAFD Haz Mat Investigator is that the suspicious odor and drum on site do not appear to be hazardous. The drum is on the property and there is no hazard to the public.

Fire personnel are still on scene as of 4 p.m. and the incident is concluded. PAFD determined there is no threat to health, public safety, or the environment. There are no injuries reported.
