On September 13, 2024, at approximately 1:21 p.m., State Police members responded to State Route 3 in the town of Harrietstown for a serious personal injury motorcycle accident. A preliminary investigation determined a 2003 Kawasaki, color gray, was operated by Jon M. Grady, age 57, of Hudson, FL, was traveling on State Route 3 near the State Boat Launch, Saranac Lake, when Grady strikes the rear of an unknown vehicle, ejecting him off the motorcycle.

Grady was airlifted to Fletcher Allen Medical Cetner in Vermont sustaining life threatening injuries.
