Westport male arrested for DWI

On September 12, 2024, State Police members arrested Patrick J. Tidridge, age 47, of Westport, NY, for a DWI previous conviction of a designated offense within 10 years, and issued vehicle and tickets.

On September 12, 2024, at approximately 9:08 p.m., State Police members responded to River Street in the town of Elizabethtown for a report of an individual operating a red lawnmower traveling on the wrong side yelling at bystanders acting irate. Troopers located the red lawnmower on Park Street, Stewarts Shop, and interviewed the operator who was identified as Patrick J. Tidridge, age 47, of Westport, NY. While interviewing Tidridge, he was showing signs of impairment. He attempted to leave the area while Troopers were speaking to him. He failed to listen to commands. Troopers were able to get Tidridge to comply. Troopers administered SFSTs on Tidridge which he failed. He was arrested and provided a positive breath test resulting in .10%. He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Elizabethtown for a later date in September.
