The Germany national team reached the quarter-finals of the European Championships in Dortmund on Saturday evening. The DFB XI deservedly beat Denmark by a 2-0 scoreline. The goals were scored by Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala. All three Borussia players played a part in the match.

BVB central defender Nico Schlotterbeck was in Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann's starting line-up. After only four minutes, Schlotterbeck opened the scoring following a corner. But his headed goal was ruled out by the referee due to a foul in the build-up. Germany dictated proceedings in the match, before a storm led to the players making their way off the pitch and the game pausing for over 20 minutes. Following the continuation, it remained goalless until half-time.
