Air Service Updates

Allegiant has resumed seasonal service to Tampa/St. Petersburg, Orlando-Sanford, and Los Angeles. Allegiant also flies twice weekly to Phoenix/Mesa, Las Vegas, and Destin.

With increased travel demand at ICT, airlines have adjusted their schedules and capacity to meet the growing demand.

Southwest Airlines recently republished its October schedule. They will operate daily nonstop service to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Flights will operate every day except Saturdays. They will reduce the Denver service to one daily, except on Saturdays when there will be two. This will give Wichita travelers daily service to Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, and two daily flights to St. Louis. American Airlines will bring back Saturday nonstop service to Miami on November 9. Not only is Miami a fun destination, but offers easy access to popular Caribbean destinations. Plus, it's a convenient cruise port. You can book your trip now.

American Airlines made some adjustments to the Washington, D.C., flight schedule. Starting in August, the flight to DCA will depart at 5:45 p.m., arriving in Washington at 9:30 p.m. From DCA, the flight will depart at 2:30 p.m. and arrive in Wichita at 4:45 p.m. Weekend schedules vary slightly. This schedule will remain through the year. This schedule provides better connectivity to the northeast.

American Airlines added an eighth daily flight to Dallas/Fort Worth which will operate through August. Then in August, American will add a 9^th daily DFW flight which will operate 4 times/week. In November, American will operate 9 daily flights to DFW.

American offers fare sales to several destinations, but keep in mind the fares can change daily. Check out their popular flights from Wichita.

United Airlines will add a third daily flight to Chicago in August. Two of those flights will be operated by 76-seat regional jets. In September, one of the three flights will be operated by a 150-seat narrowbody aircraft. In December, two daily flights will be operated by 76-seat regional jets and one by 150-seat narrowbody aircraft. No 50-seat RJs are scheduled after December.

United also added a fourth daily flight to Houston in June.
