NV Energy is seeking customer input for the next round of community based solar resources the company plans to build. Residential customers with an email address on file were emailed access to the survey today. Voting is open until November 26 at 11:59 p.m..

Through the Community Based Solar Resource program, NV Energy constructs small scale solar arrays located in the community. Earlier this year, businesses and organizations interested in hosting a new site were able to submit a letter of interest to the company. NV Energy has reviewed the applications and as part of the process, now invites the community to vote on their preferred location.

Locations in Southern Nevada available for voting include:

  • City of Las Vegas - Lorenzi Park
  • City of Las Vegas - Westside School
  • City of North Las Vegas - City Hall
  • City of North Las Vegas - Justice Center
  • Clark County - Bob Price Park and Recreation Center, Cora Coleman Senior Center
  • Clark County - North Las Vegas Campus
  • Clark County - Winchester Dondero
  • University of Nevada Las Vegas - Maryland Campus
  • University of Nevada Las Vegas - Shadow Lane Campus

Locations in Northern Nevada available for voting include:

  • Carson City - Public Works
  • Washoe County - Senior Center

Once customers have voted on their preferences, NV Energy will advance the sites with top votes to the Public Utilities Commission for consideration and approval. Additional information about each site and the program is available online at nvenergy.com/cbsr.
