DSS CSR Efforts Elevate Giving Grounded in Care

In addition to being a catalyst for health care innovation and digital transformation for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), DSS is also committed to making the world a better place.

As we continue to face significant global challenges, from climate change to global humanitarian issues to the rising needs of our nation's Veterans, we need to collectively aim for a brighter future for humanity and our planet.

This is why DSS' Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts supports charitable organizations that enhance Veteran outreach, community and global humanitarian efforts, as well as the health of the environment.

DSS brings its CSR program to life through the following three pillars:

  • Veteran Outreach: A core part of DSS' DNA is our commitment to supporting Veterans and our local community through volunteer work, sponsorships and annual donations. We proudly aim to "serve those who have served."

  • Community & Humanitarian Assistance: Since we live in a fully connected, global world that often requires humanitarian assistance to those in the most need, DSS proudly supports many community and humanitarian organizations.

  • Environmental: With global temperatures rising, we are facing a climate crisis that impacts the entire planet. Being headquartered in Juno Beach, Florida, DSS is especially passionate about saving and protecting our oceans and our reefs.

In terms of Veteran outreach, DSS supports a wide range of organizations such as the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Comfort Farms/ STAG Vets, and the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund (WVRF). Many of these organizations help Veterans in their reintroduction to society after overseas deployments.

In addition, members of the DSS team are part of the fundraising committee for the Friends of Fisher House to help build a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. This special organization provides support to the West Palm Beach Fisher House to ensure that military members, Veterans, and their families experience the comforts of home while receiving vital medical care at the VA or a nearby facility.

Since 2011, we have supported Honor Flight Network, a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's Veterans for all their sacrifices. For example, we helped to transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials.

From a community and humanity perspective, we support organizations such as the Cox Science Center and Aquarium Hometown Heroes, Global Empowerment Mission, Habitat for Humanity, the Palm Beach County Food Bank and Team Rubicon.

DSS has also raised $10,000 to provide supplies to the troops and citizens of Ukraine such as combat medical kits, clothing and food. The supplies were flown to Warsaw and were personally delivered to a network of volunteers at the border that went back into Ukraine to distribute to those in need.

When it comes to helping the environment, DSS supports Ocean Rescue Alliance International and the 1,000 Mermaids Artificial Reef Project & Gallery. With a mission to enhance marine habitats and expand fish habitat, this amazing project creates artificial reef installations that are placed off the coast of south Florida.

DSS is proud to serve all these special organizations and will continue to make giving back a critical priority. Learn more about our comprehensive CSR program.
