L.A. Area Chamber Calls for Urgent Fixes After AB 98 Becomes Law

by L.A. Area Chamber

LOS ANGELES, CA - September 30, 2024 - The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement regarding the signing of AB 98, the warehouse regulation bill:

"The Chamber is deeply disappointed by the Governor's decision to sign AB 98, despite widespread concerns from local governments, environmental advocates, and the business community," said Maria S. Salinas, President & CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. "This law undermines local decision-making by imposing blanket statewide mandates on the location and operation of warehouses, which will severely impact the regional economy and California's global competitiveness. We strongly urge the Legislature to address these issues and pursue corrective action in the next session."
