Iroquois County Public Health Department is seeking to hire a full-time staff nurse. The staff nurse provides nursing care to clients as requested by the client and when prescribed by the physician and in compliance with applicable law and regulations and the policies of the agency.
ICPHD offers a set 35 hour work schedule during the office hours of 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. ICPHD observes all federal holidays.
Pay Range:

$52,000 - $56,000 annually / $28.57 - $30.77 hourly
Job Requirements:

Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured and is in good working condition. Documentation of current automobile insurance coverage is required.

Successfully pass a background check.

Authorized to work in the United States.
Job Duties:
-
Administer vaccines to adults and children.
-
Perform finger-stick blood tests for adults and children.
-
Perform intradermal TB skin tests for adults and children.

Perform blood pressure screenings for adults as requested.

Case management and investigation of communicable disease cases and animal bites that are reported to the Health Department.

Maintain accurate medical records.
Education and Experience:

Associate Degree in Nursing

1 year of nursing experience preferred

Current BLS CPR certification (may be completed upon hiring)
