Oklahoma Panhandle State University Launches Esports Team and Club

Oklahoma Panhandle State University is proud to announce the launch of its first-ever Esports team and club. As part of this exciting new venture, OPSU has joined the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE). This affiliation provides the university's Esports athletes the opportunity to compete at a national level, showcasing their skills and talent while representing OPSU.

Esports, a rapidly growing industry, offers students unique opportunities for competition, teamwork, and leadership development. As part of OPSU's new Esports program, students will have access to scholarships to support their participation in the program.

OPSU's Esports team will compete against other universities across the country, fostering a sense of camaraderie and school pride both on and off the virtual stage. Students interested in joining the Esports team are encouraged to apply for scholarships, which will be awarded to those demonstrating outstanding gaming skills and a commitment to team-building and strategy.

"This program opens new doors for our students, giving them a platform to compete on a national level and gain valuable skills that extend beyond their time at OPSU," said Amanda Beasley, OPSU's faculty advisor for the Esports program. "We are excited to see where this will take our students, not only in competition but in the development of their leadership and teamwork abilities."
