The City of Dallas Office of Equity and Inclusion Fair Housing Division is collaborating with consultants to update the Analysis of Impediments Report for submission to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Ensuring equal access to housing is a core principle that HUD strives to uphold for all individuals of the United States. This includes protections against discrimination in housing, rental practices, lending, home appraisals, insurance availability, accessibility, and the freedom to choose where we live.
The Office of Equity and Inclusion Fair Housing Division is actively engaging with city stakeholders to gather feedback on experiences and concerns related to fair housing within Dallas. The responses received will inform updates to the Analysis of Impediments report, which identifies, analyzes, and addresses barriers to fair housing. The ultimate goal is to broaden opportunities and cultivate communities where all Dallas residents can thrive. Office of Equity and Inclusion is requesting all submission be completed by August 2, 2024.
