Storm Response 07.15.24

July 15, 2024, at 10:45 PM - There have been several reports of trees down in roadways, power outages, and other storm-related damages from the storm systems that came through earlier this evening. Fire, police, utility, and public works crews are responding. Please be patient as all our agencies assess and prioritize recovery and restoration.

If you see a downed power line, always assume it's energized and don't approach it. Contact MidAmerican Energy, and they will respond to ensure it's safe. If you do not have power, find the MidAmerican Energy outage map at https://www.midamericanenergy.com/outagewatch/dsk.html, or call MidAmerican Energy at 1 (888) 427-5632.

Report trees down in the roadway to www.davenportiowa.com/pwrs. Be aware that if power is involved, MidAmerican Energy must de-energize lines before tree removal can begin. Crews are currently working diligently on 18 downed trees in roadways.
