The adoption of AI and innovative technologies by PA and by Italian companies continues to grow. Despite the perception of a national gap, according to a very recent survey by EY, Italy ranks third in Europe in terms of the rate at which companies are adopting artificial intelligence. "Digital technology is a lever for economic and social growth, an essential tool for remaining competitive in a changing world. Companies and public administrations have understood this. In this challenge, Almaviva supports both, overseeing strategic sectors such as healthcare, the ecological transition, and defense and security." These were the words of Antonio Amati, General Manager of IT for Almaviva, interviewed on Class CNBC at the 50th edition of The European House Ambrosetti Forum held in Cernobbio by Adolfo Valente.

Here are some concrete examples. "When it comes to the ecological transition, we at Almaviva have perfected digital platforms and solutions for optimal management of water resources, serving operators and administrations. The extended water supply chain generates a value of €367.5 billion, or 19% of the entire national GDP, and this value is growing. Efficiently managing such an important asset as water is a must. Digital technology can be the strategic key to doing this. Our projects, with both large and medium-sized operators, to digitalize the integrated water system, have already helped recover over 70 million cubic meters of water per year."

"Digital technology also enables the development of a new healthcare system based on data and information, the interoperability of systems, and services that are accessible and available to residents quickly and according to their needs. Digital technologies play a fundamental role in transforming healthcare and treatment. Almaviva supports central and local administrations and healthcare facilities with innovative solutions and emerging, AI-based technologies. For example, with Ospedale Valduce Villa Beretta, a renowned institution here in the province of Como, we've perfected an innovative tele-rehabilitation solution that enhances medical care and innovates rehabilitation techniques through virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence."
"Companies are also highly focused on investing in technologies that allow them to compete internationally, and the results are evident, with a strong performance in productivity and exports."
