What

The City of Dallas and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) invite the public and the media to join federal and localofficials for a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the future Charlie Pump Station. The pump station is being constructed along the West Levee and is bounded by East Jefferson Boulevard and Brazos Street. The new pump station will provide flood risk mitigation with the capacity to collect and pump 225,000 gallons per minuteof stormwaterthrough the Charlie Pump System over the West Levee and into the Trinity River. The groundbreaking marks significant advancements on the Flood Risk Management Projects in the Dallas Floodway (DF) and Dallas Floodway Extension (DFE) that are funded through the Supplemental Appropriation in the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 (PL 115-123). The pump station is scheduled to be operational mid-2026.
