Chapman Named President of Bradford Regional Medical Center, Olean General Hospital

Bradley Chapman, MBA, FACHE, has been named president of Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH) following a nationwide search to fill the position.

He assumes the role from Cheryl Klass, interim president and chief operating officer. Klass will remain on until Chapman is acclimated into his role to ensure a smooth transition when he starts on January 6. Stepping into the role, Chapman will be responsible for the oversight of daily hospital operations of BRMC and OGH along with the ancillary locations and network of physician practices all of which employ more than 1,200 physicians, nurses, and staff.

"Bradley's diverse experience in an organization that correlates to an integrated multi-state hospital system helped to position him to be the frontrunner to succeed this role," said Don Boyd, president and CEO, Kaleida Health. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of financial, quality, and service improvements in a rural healthcare environment. His work will be invaluable to the organization as we continue to enhance integration efforts throughout all our Kaleida Health sites."

Most recently, Chapman served as president of MaineHealth Memorial Hospital, NH, which is a part of an integrated hospital system that oversees hospital in New Hampshire and Maine. Prior to joining MaineHealth, he served as president of Penn Highlands Clearfield and Penn Highlands Elk, both Pennsylvania acute care hospitals.

Boyd added, "Bradley will play an important role as we continue to strengthen our relationship to improve efficiencies, reposition services for growth and financial sustainability, enhance quality, and leverage the continuum of care across Kaleida Health."

BRMC and OGH became affiliates of Kaleida Health in 2017.

Chapman earned his bachelor's degree in business administration as well as his master's in business administration from Niagara University, NY. He also has a certificate in healthcare leadership from Le Moyne College, NY.

"On behalf of the board of directors we are excited to welcome Bradley to our organization. Under Bradley's leadership, we will continue to progress our local health care system as he is a forward-thinking, strategic executive that will bring a fresh new perspective," said Muhammed Javed, MD, board chairman, Upper Allegheny Health System.
