Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3700 Genoa Red Bluff Road

November 4, 2024- Houston police are investigating the death of a male suspect following a vehicle pursuit with Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable's Office deputies at 2400 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) service road about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday (November 3).

The identity of the suspect is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Special Investigations Unit Detectives C. Walker and D, Hammons reported:

At about 12:55 a.m., Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable's Office deputies initiated a vehicle pursuit with a suspect on a motorcycle on the Eastex Freeway north of Kingwood. The pursuit continued into the Houston area and came to an end when the motorcycle crashed near the 1100 block of the Eastex Freeway.

The suspect evaded deputies on foot and jumped over a retaining wall from the Eastex Freeway southbound to the connecting ramp from the East Freeway (Interstate Highway 10) to the Eastex Freeway southbound. The suspect was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.

No HPD officers were involved in the pursuit of the suspect.

As is customary when a suspect dies in the presence of law enforcement officers in the Houston city limits, this case is being investigation by the HPD Special Investigations Unit.
