Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 790 Chadwick Street

November 4, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7900 Chadwick Street about 1:35 a.m. on Sunday (November 3).

The identity of the victim, 18, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Montalvo and D. Higgs reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive man with gunshot wounds in the street. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the man to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined several persons exchanged gunfire at each other in the area and the the victim was struck.

At this time, there is no known suspect description.
