VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Oct 3, 2024) - Today, Regent University announced the addition of baseball to its varsity sports program beginning during the 2025-26 season.

Baseball becomes the 11th sports program offered by the Athletic Department and is in line with the university's ongoing process of moving towards NCAA Division III membership.

"It is truly an exciting time to be a Regent Royal," said Michael W. Allen, Regent Athletic Director. "We are currently in the exploratory phase with the NCAA, in the midst of a capital campaign to expand our campus with a new state-of-the-art athletic facility, and in a national coaching search for our baseball program. Our campus and our program have hit a growth spurt that fully aligns with the founding vision for the university. I am thrilled to be here for such a time as this."

Regent Athletics currently has 10 NCCAA Division I sports teams, including Men's and Women's Track & Field, Men's and Women's Cross Country, Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Soccer, and Men's and Women's Volleyball.
