University of Maryland Global Campus and the Major League Baseball Players Association Form Education Alliance

(Oct. 3, 2024)-A new partnership between University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) and the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) will open doors for Major and Minor League Baseball players to enroll in online courses and degree programs at a discounted tuition rate and with other benefits.

In addition to waiving the application fee, the university also offers digital course materials that eliminate the need for costly publisher textbooks in most courses. Players' spouses and dependents are also eligible for the UMGC educational benefits under the alliance.
