2024 Planning Agency Award of Excellence

The American Planning Association, California Chapter recognized the City of Campbell's Planning Division for their exceptional work as a public sector planning agency.

The purpose of the program is to encourage quality in planning and increase the public's awareness of the planning profession by recognizing outstanding achievement in the field. The program honors innovative plans and projects, distinguished APA members, lay contributors to planning, and the achievements of APA California's Sections.202

Achievements include: Updating the General Plan, Housing Element and Zoning Ordinance; Developing new design standards for multi-family housing; Crafting land use policies for transit oriented development and creating planning tools used as models by other agencies.
