On August 2, 2024, Moses Hirschfield was convicted by a jury of first-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The jury also found true the allegation that Hirschfield discharged a firearm causing death.

The victim, Christopher Treadwell, was a local rap artist. In the early morning hours of June 21, 2020, the victim went to an AM/PM convenient store to buy food. When the victim entered the store and saw Moses Hirschfield inside, he immediately left the AM/PM and got in his car to leave. Hirschfield followed the victim and chased him in his car. The chase reached speeds up to 113 mph. When the victim lost control and crashed his car, he ran on foot. Hirschfield continued to chase the victim in his car and then on foot until they got to a fast-food drive-thru, where he shot the victim in the back of the head, killing him.

Hirschfield faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life in prison. Sentencing is set for August 29, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. in Department 21 before the Honorable Shelleyanne W. L. Chang.
