Construction Rescheduled to Next Week on I-95 Aramingo Avenue Ramp in Philadelphia

08/05/2024

Philadelphia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that this week's construction on Aramingo Avenue at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange scheduled for August 6-9 in Philadelphia has been postponed and rescheduled for next week due to weather.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

  • From 6:00 AM Monday, August 12, continuously until 3:00 PM Friday, August 16, the ramp from Aramingo Avenue to northbound and southbound I-95 at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange will be closed for intersection improvements. Motorists will be directed to the adjacent intersection of Aramingo Avenue and Adams Avenue for access to and from I-95.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The intersection work is part of the substantially completed, $93.6 million I-95 Section BR2 project to improve the connections with I-95 to and from the bridge and surface streets at the Betsy Ross Bridge interchange.
