Reward Offered for Information on 2023 South Los Angeles Homicide NR24239jl

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department's South Bureau Homicide Division detectives are currently investigating an ongoing homicide case that occurred in the area of Manchester Avenue and Hoover Street.

In December 2023, South Bureau Homicide detectives responded to a homicide that occurred at a gas station located in the 8500 block of South Hoover Street.

Marquette Scott, a 32-year-old resident of Victorville, was seated inside his parked vehicle when he was approached by an unknown suspect and shot to death. The suspect(s) involved in this incident remain outstanding, and the motive for this shooting is still under investigation.

On April 3, 2024, LAPD South Bureau Homicide Division detectives generated a reward letter after exhausting all investigative leads and resources. The reward letter offers $50,000 to anyone with information about the case that may help identify individuals connected to the murder and eventually lead to an arrest and conviction.
