Trail closures Sunday for Kessler Mountain Jam

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - As part of this weekend's Kessler Mountain Jam, on Sunday, Sept. 22, several trails at Kessler Mountain Regional Park will be closed to the public.

Kessler Mountain Jam is an annual mountain bike race held as part of the Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday at the park. It is a USA Cycling-sanctioned race with categories for all ages and levels.

The following trails will be open Saturday during event setup, but closed to the public during the event Sunday:

  • Fayetteville Traverse
  • Serpentine
  • Trent's Trail
  • Crazy Mary
  • Chinkapin Oak
  • Terrapin Station
  • Last Call
  • Saddle Up

Kessler Mountain Regional Park's natural-surface trails comprise approximately 20 miles and range from easy to difficult and very difficult. The park is connected to the Razorback Regional Greenway via the Cato Springs Trail.
