Book a Nature Field Trip with Seattle Parks and Recreation's Environmental Education Team and encourage students to engage in learning in a fun-filled, outdoor setting. Pick from a variety of class subjects, from ponds (freshwater ecology), beaches (marine life), to forests and birds of the Pacific Northwest. Lesson plans integrating Next Generation Science Standards and Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements led by highly trained Seattle Urban Nature Guides.
School and organized group programs are offered year-round for pre-K through 9th grade classes. $225 for up to 30 students, $7.50/student after the first 30 / $75 for up to 30 students for low-income and SPS Title 1 schools. Free bus transportation is available for SPS Title 1 schools once a year (as funds are available).
