City of St. Petersburg Hosting School Supply Drives for Upcoming School Year
July 23, 2024 -The City of St. Petersburg is hosting two school supply drives this summer to prepare local students for the upcoming school year. Those wishing to make a donation can do so at Bay Vista Recreation Center (until July 31) and at St. Pete Greenhouse (until August 2).
Suggested donations include:

Folders and binders
-
Composition notebooks
-
Notebook paper
-
Pens and pencils
-
Crayons and markers
-
Glue sticks
-
Rulers
-
Scissors
Bay Visit Recreation Center Drive Details:
The Bay Vista Recreation Center is collecting new school supplies for students entering grades K-8. Donations can be made at the center, 7000 4th St. S., Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. until Wednesday, July 31.
Where will the donations go?
- Donated school supplies will be made available to students on a limited basis at a Backpack Giveaway event on Saturday, August 10, from 1-4 p.m. at the center.
- The event will also include fun activities such as bounce houses, music, and free food.
- Families that would like to receive school supplies from the Bay Vista Recreation Center, must register online by August 1 here: https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/stpete/activity/search/detail/12856?onlineSiteId=0&from_original_cui=true

The Greenhouse Drive Details:
The Greenhouse is also accepting school supplies for all St. Pete students (K - 12th grade). Donations can be made at The Greenhouse, 440 2nd Ave. N., until Friday, August 2.

Donated items will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis to families at the Bounce Back to School event, presented by Saturday Shoppes, on Saturday, August 3 at Tropicana Field Lot 1, One Tropicana Dr. from 4-8 p.m. More info: https://www.saturdayshoppes.com/event/8-3-24/
