Secretary-General of ASEAN to conduct a Working Visit to Australia

At the invitation of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will lead the ASEAN Secretariat's delegation to pay a Working Visit to Australia, on 26 to 29 November 2024. During the course of the visit, SG Dr. Kao is scheduled to meet with key stakeholders, including high-ranking Australian Government officials, parliamentarians, business community, private sector, as well as academia, youth and students. SG Dr. Kao will also engage with the ASEAN Committee in Canberra and attend the launch of the ASEAN-Australia Centre in Canberra. The Working Visit is aimed to contributing to the further strengthening of the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, particularly following the momentum of the successful convening of the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit to commemorate the 50^th Anniversary of ASEAN-Australia Dialogue Relations held in Melbourne, Australia, in March of this year.
