Montana State to host potential students, families Nov. 1 as part of MSU Friday

BOZEMAN - Montana State University will open its campus, classrooms, facilities and residence halls to prospective students and families on Friday, Nov. 1, at the next MSU Friday event.

MSU Fridays are full-day programs offering in-depth previews of college life at MSU. They include information sessions and presentations about what the university has to offer, sample classes taught by MSU's top professors, and campus tours including the residence halls and campus facilities, such as American Indian Hall and the newly opened Student Wellness Center.

Check-in is from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the Strand Union Building with campus tours available between 7:30-9 a.m., 9:45-10:30 a.m. and 12:05-12:35 p.m., with tours departing every five minutes.

Throughout the day there will be information sessions and presentations, including a welcome and introduction to MSU, a session exploring academics, an overview of the application process and a presentation on living on campus. From 3:30 to 5 p.m. there will be an opportunity to tour different residence halls across campus.

Mike Ouert, head of admissions at MSU, encourages those who are interested in attending Montana State University to register for MSU Friday.

"This is a great opportunity for both the student and family to explore campus and learn about all the great things MSU has to offer," he said.

There will be four more MSU Fridays happening in spring semester on Jan. 31, Feb. 21, March 7 and March 28, 2025.
