Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8237 Locksley Road

September 13, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 8237 Locksley Road about 8:35 p.m. on Thursday (September 12).

The identity of the victim, 25, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Montealegre-Cerrato and G. Rangel reported:

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting call at the above address and found an unresponsive woman with gunshot wounds in the doorway of her residence. Paramedics pronounced the woman deceased.

A preliminary investigation determined an unknown suspect arrived at the location and began yelling at someone. According to witnesses, the suspect then pulled out a weapon and fired shots at the house. The woman was struck by the gunfire. No one else inside the residence at the time of the shooting was injured The suspect then fled the scene immediately after the shooting in a vehicle described as a white Chevrolet Tahoe.
