Harrisburg LaunchBox to kick off Truist Empowered Entrepreneurs Executive Series

The 2024-25 series will begin with a discussion on AI and startups Oct. 7

The Harrisburg LaunchBox, powered by Penn State will host the 2024-25 Truist Empowered Entrepreneurs Executive Series at Penn State Harrisburg, starting this fall with a discussion on artificial intelligence and startup businesses.

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Harrisburg LaunchBox, powered by Penn State will host the 2024-25 Truist Empowered Entrepreneurs Executive Series at Penn State Harrisburg, starting this fall with a discussion on artificial intelligence and startup businesses.

The series will kick off Oct. 7 with a discussion titled "Startups in AI," with Can Dogan, associate professor of economics at Radford University. Dogan will share his research on the acceleration of AI startups and the impact on the future of business.

The event be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Penn State Harrisburg in the Olmsted Building, Room C213. Doors will open at 11:15. Register at the Harrisburg LaunchBox site.

The five-part series is supported by Truist Foundation and aims to help strengthen small businesses in the Harrisburg region by inspiring innovation and entrepreneurship and helping connect startups with local resources. It will convene diverse leaders in the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem around topics, including:

  • Access to capital
  • Technical support programs
  • Mentorship for success
  • Research and development of new technologies
  • Best practices and policies on inclusion
