Aqua Pennsylvania Utility Improvements Scheduled on Two State Highways in Delaware, Montgomery Counties

10/11/2024

King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Aqua Pennsylvania will be performing water main construction on two state highways in Delaware and Montgomery counties.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Delaware County
  • Monday, October 28, through Friday, November 1, a 24-hour weekday closure is scheduled on Conestoga Road between Spring Mill Road and Radnor Avenue in Radnor Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 320 (Sproul Road), U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue), and County Line Road.
Montgomery County
  • Tuesday, October 22, through Thursday, October 31, Route 63 (Moreland Road) will be closed and detoured 24/7 between Easton Road and Route 611 (York Road) in Abington and Upper Moreland townships. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Easton Road, Old Welsh Road, and Route 611 (York Road).
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
