State demonstrates commitment to justice and law enforcement

Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinator of the Intelligence and Security Sector Aleksa Bečić met with Minister of the Interior Danilo Šaranović and senior police officials to discuss recent developments in law enforcement.

Deputy Prime Minister Bečić commended the swift resolution of a serious criminal case in Cetinje, highlighting the exceptional collaboration and dedication of law enforcement agencies. He praised the nearly 95% clearance rate for crimes against life and body this year, showcasing significant progress in combating organized crime and corruption.

Acknowledging challenges such as staffing shortages and bureaucratic hurdles, Deputy Prime Minister Bečić emphasised the need for urgent institutional responses, including legislative reforms to strengthen law enforcement capacities and streamline operational procedures.

Minister Šaranović and police officials expressed gratitude for the constructive dialogue and pledged continued efforts to enhance legislative frameworks and operational effectiveness.

The meeting underscored the government's determination to uphold justice and ensure swift legal actions against perpetrators of criminal acts, demonstrating heightened inter-agency cooperation and commitment to law enforcement objectives.
