This aerial photo by the Lucas County Auditor's Office captures UToledo's Main Campus as it appeared in 1950: University Hall at top center, World War II-era military barracks south of the building, a grass parking lot that replaced a baseball diamond to the east of University Hall, and the football stadium, newly renovated and renamed "The Glass Bowl," at the southern part of campus. Wending through the heart of campus is the Ottawa River.

Compare the photo from 1950 to this aerial Main Campus photo from 1998, which by then had seen substantial growth with the additions of the multiple buildings: Stranahan Hall (1985), McMaster Hall (1985), McComas Village (1990), Larimer Athletic Complex (1990), Student Recreation Center (1991), Student Medical Center (1992), Academic House (1992), Horton International House (1995), Nitschke Hall (1995) and Wolfe Hall (1998). An extensive reconstruction to Glass Bowl Stadium added the press box and indoor boxes (1990).
