Background: |
As part of the City Roadmap study session in March 2021, the City Council approved direction on the formation of the COVID-19 Recovery Task Force (Task Force) and launched in November 2021. The purpose of the 55-member Task Force is to work with the community to "think about the future" as it relates to strengthening and stabilizing families, workers and small businesses. Since commencing, members have been reviewing City Recovery Initiatives, gathering data and creating strategies. The Community Resource Fair is the culmination of community engagement activities this summer that included a community survey and 25 community events conducted with the help of a Lived Experience Group. The Task Force will use the feedback gathered to inform and shape its recommendations and final report to the City Council anticipated in December.
