City of Cedar Falls Thanksgiving Hours and Refuse Schedule

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the below Cedar Falls City facilities will be operating the following hours:

Refuse Schedule

There will be no garbage collection on November 28 and November 29. Residents having Thursday as their collection day should put their garbage out by 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26. Residents having Friday as their collection day should put their garbage out by 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27. There will be no large item pickup during this week. Large item pickup will resume on Monday, December 2.

The Transfer Station will be open on Saturday, November 30.

A reminder to our community that yard waste pickup on Mondays beginning December through the end of March 2024 will be done on a call-in basis. Call (319) 273-8629 to make arrangements for pickup and with any questions regarding refuse collection in the city.
