Iowa to require testing for dairy cattle shows

Last week, the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) announced new measures aimed at limiting the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) among dairy farms in Iowa.

Effective July 1, those exhibiting dairy cattle at fairs and similar events in Iowa are required to complete HPAI testing within seven days of movement for all participating animals.
