Cox Media Group Radio leader named industry's top programmer by Barrett Media Group

ATLANTA (Sept. 12, 2024) - Cox Media Group (CMG) announced today that Ken Charles, WSB Radio Director of Operations and Programming, won the inaugural Gold Standard Award in Programming last week at the Barrett Media Summit in Washington, D.C.

The Gold Standard in Programming Award goes to news/talk radio's top programmer and celebrates outstanding achievements within media.

Charles earned the Gold Standard Award in Programming because of his contributions to the success of WSB Radio's news/talk format and the power of its brand. According to Barrett Media, the station remains one of the most powerful brands in the industry. Since taking the reins in April 2022, Ken has led WSB to consistent ratings success, strengthening the content and format, and continuing to build on the station's connection with the Atlanta community.
