Audacy Cleveland's Star 102 (WDOK-FM) raised $200,116 to benefit University Hospitals (UH) Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital during its 22nd Rainbow Radiothon in Cleveland. Since 2003, the station and the local community have raised over $5.6 million.
"Year after year, I'm astounded by the selfless contributions from our audience," said Jeff Miller, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy. "It's fulfilling to see what Star 102's hard work can accomplish during this season of giving. Hearing the appreciation and positivity over the air has made the reward much greater."
Hosted by Star 102's morning show co-hosts Jen Toohey and Tim Richards, 2024 Rainbow Radiothon was broadcast live from the Star 102 Studios from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday, December 6. Throughout the event, hosts Toohey and Richards showcased stories of love, hope and compassion featuring the hospital's young patients and dedicated staff who care for them.
With more than one million patient visits per year, UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital provides nationally recognized pediatric care close to home. The money raised from the "Rainbow Radiothon" helps advance the personalized care the hospital can provide to its young patients.
