Stabilization Project Planned for Exit 39A Ramp from NB I-83 to Route 114 (Lewisberry Road) in York County

​Ramp to be closed for approximately 30 days; a detour will be in place

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the ramp from northbound Interstate 83 to Route 114 (Lewisberry Road) at Exit 39A in Fairview Township, York County, is scheduled to be closed for a ramp stabilization project.

Weather permitting, the ramp will be closed at midnight on Monday, July 22. A 30-day detour will be in place. Travelers desiring to access Route 114/Lewisberry Road from northbound I-83 should proceed to Exit 40A (Limekiln Road) then return south on I-83 to Exit 39A.

This project consists of slope stabilization, guiderail replacement, signs and pavement markings and other miscellaneous construction on the ramp from northbound I-83 to Route 114/Lewisberry Road, as well as bridge pier repairs on the northbound I-83 bridge spanning Route 114/Lewisberry Road. This work will be performed at night with short-term lane restrictions.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the contractor on this $842,525 project.

All work is expected to be completed by October 1, 2024.
