Condemned Person Glenn W. Jennings Dies

VACAVILLE - Condemned person Glenn W. Jennings passed away at California Medical Facility (CMF) on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, while incarcerated at CMF. He was 71 years old.

At 12:23 a.m., Jennings was found unresponsive in his assigned cell during a security check. Responding staff initiated lifesaving measures and summoned an ambulance. Jennings was pronounced deceased by the Vacaville Fire Department at 12:45 a.m. Solano County Coroner determined the cause of death to be natural at 3:18 a.m.

Glenn Jennings, 71, was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole for first-degree robbery on Jan. 28, 1977. He was received from Fresno County on Feb. 3, 1977. He was released to parole supervision on April 29, 1980, after serving his full sentence as defined by law. Jennings was received from Sacramento County on Oct. 29, 1982, to serve 35 years, eight months for robbery with enhancements of using a firearm. He was released to parole supervision on May 1, 2001, after serving his full sentence as defined by law. He was returned from parole on June 4, 2003, and released to parole supervision on Feb. 24, 2004, after serving his full sentence as defined by law. On Nov. 5, 2010, he was sentenced to death for first-degree murder. He was received from Sacramento County on Nov. 12, 2010.
