Wright College Cybersecurity Students Rank 39 out of 500 College Teams Nationwide in Latest National Cyber League Competition

Wright College cybersecurity students have ranked 39th out of nearly 500 college teams that competed nationwide in the latest cybersecurity competition by the National Cyber League (NCL). This is their second consecutive high ranking; in December of 2023, the Wright College team placed #45 in this "Power Rankings" among over 8,580 students from 510 colleges and universities.

The National Cyber League (NCL) is a cybersecurity competition that prepares students for a career in cybercrime. In the NCL Games, Wright College Continuing Education students worked to solve challenges such as identifying hackers from forensic data, pen testing and auditing vulnerable websites, recovering from ransomware attacks, and more.

"This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our students, faculty, and staff. It highlights the exceptional quality of our curriculum and the hands-on training that prepares our students to excel in the fast-paced and ever-evolving field of cybersecurity," said Wright College president Andres Oroz.

City Colleges of Chicago offer continuing education cybersecurity boot camps as well as college credit programs for basic and advanced certificates and an associate degree in applied science with a focus on cybersecurity.
